Boise, Idaho is a great place to call home, and its citizens are always looking for ways to give back to their community. Whether it's through volunteer work or donations, there are plenty of opportunities to make a difference. One way to help out is by donating funds to organizations that provide shelter, food, and other basic items to those in need. This is a great way to make a lasting impact on the lives of those who are struggling.
Additionally, volunteering is another great way to give back. People can volunteer full time for several months, or donate a few hours a day or week. Students can even volunteer to earn college credit through a university-approved internship program or to gain experience with the activities and philosophy of the Forest Service. Retirees or those with shared skills often find that a volunteer position provides them with a good change of pace.
Volunteering has been high on my list of priorities since I was young, thanks to my parents. Idaho Fish and Game is currently looking for volunteers to plant thousands of sagebrush and bitter weed seedlings during the month of March in various locations in Southern Idaho. No matter how you choose to give back, it's important to remember that every little bit helps. Whether you donate funds or your time, you can make a difference in your community. So why not take the time to find out how you can help?.
